Someone sent me a gift list. How do I use it?

Open the link, pick a gift and tap it. Most open a specific product on Amazon, where you buy it the way you normally would. You do not need an account with Prompt & Present. The list cannot yet show what other people have bought, so check with the family before you order.

What am I looking at?

Gift ideas the person's own AI assistant wrote from what it knows about them, each matched to a product on Amazon by our automated system. They could look the list over and trim it before sending. Each gift shows the product, what it is for, and one sentence on why it suits them.

How do I buy something?

Tap the gift. The product opens on Amazon and you buy it with your own Amazon account. The price is whatever Amazon shows; we show none. The list holds no address, so choose where it ships on Amazon.

What does "size to confirm" mean?

Their assistant did not know their size and was told not to guess. Pick the size on Amazon's page, and ask someone who would know if you are unsure.

No single product matched that idea, so the link opens an Amazon search for it and the choice is yours. The sentence on the tile says what the gift is for.

Is the product exactly what they want?

Usually close, not guaranteed. Products are matched to their assistant's ideas automatically and nobody checks each one by hand. Read the sentence, then check the version, size and color on Amazon before you buy. A note on the tile tells you when a comparable product was chosen because the exact one was not found.

Will they know what I bought?

No. The list does not record purchases, and neither they nor we are told who bought what. They know what is on the list, not which gift is coming or from whom.

How do I avoid buying the same thing as someone else?

For now, by asking. The list cannot mark a gift as bought, so say in the family chat what you have picked.

Does buying through the list cost more?

No. You pay Amazon's usual price, and Amazon pays us a commission. How does Prompt & Present make money? explains it.

What if something on the list looks wrong?

Use "Report this list" at the foot of the page and tell us what is wrong.
